JUST EAT LOCAL

BECAUSE IT’S IMPORTANT & BECAUSE THE RIVERSIDE FARMERS’ MARKET TOLD YOU TO

Week Ten:

The tenth week of the Riverside Farmers’ Market (August 6) is here.

How much room do you have in your fridge? Providence Farm has Twin Acres corn! All our farmers have an abundance of produce right now – including fresh blueberries, cherries, black raspberries, cucumbers, squash, beets, and all the leafy greens you could possibly want! Time to start freezing or canning! Do you need more? How about honey, mushrooms, beef, pork, chicken, fresh eggs, fresh butter, fish, kettle and caramel corn, chocolate, caramels, jellies, jams, soaps, smoothies, dog treats, plants, coffee, bread, baked goods, frozen blueberries.   Don’t forget your Primo Pizza for dinner!

Our very own Paul Halvey will make our market even sweeter tonight with his beautiful music.

Hey college students! The Library will have a free gift and a map to mark your college destinations for all Riverside residents who are heading off to college this fall!

For the younger students: The Library will be hosting a Smell It/Touch It Activity – kids can try to guess various items by only small and others by only touch.   Friends of the Library will be selling their recipe cards for $5.sweetie

Hey Kids! Come to the market tomorrow to find Sadie Sweet Potato. Bring your rewards card to get stamped or pick up a new one from a market manager in a green shirt. Three stamps get you a Farmers’ Buck to spend at the market!

The market is held on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot between the Township Hall and the Riverside Public Library.
