JUST EAT LOCAL

BECAUSE IT’S IMPORTANT & BECAUSE THE RIVERSIDE FARMERS’ MARKET TOLD YOU TO

Back to school, back to the market

parker pepperIt’s back to school and back to the market. The market is held on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot between the Township Hall and the Riverside Public Library.

The Library will have a free gift back-to-school gift!

RFM is a great place to find after-school snacks and lunchbox ingredients. Look for blueberries, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, beets, carrots, melons of all shapes and sizes and corn. Bring your knives for sharpening to make slicing and dicing them easier.

Beyond fresh produce, stock up on honey, mushrooms, beef, pork, chicken, fresh eggs, fresh butter, fish, kettle and caramel corn, chocolate, caramels, jellies, jams, soaps, smoothies, dog treats, plants, coffee, bread, baked goods, and frozen blueberries.

Children can look for Parker the Pepper for this week’s scavenger hunt. Bring your rewards card to get stamped or pick up a new one from a market manager in a green shirt. Three stamps gets you a Farmers’ Buck to spend at the market.

Finally, celebrate the first day back to school by taking the night off and let someone else cook dinner, like Primo or Rose’s Catering!

Dave Smolarek will entertain us with his acoustic guitar.
